Welcome to JH Villa, a former Portuguese colonial estate nestled atop a picturesque hill, just a short five-minute stroll away from the captivating Indian Ocean and the JH Beach House. Our villa in Galle is reserved in its entirety for one group of up to 14 guests, across five individual suites, each boasting its own private veranda, ensuring serenity and comfort for all our guests. Your resident chef, butler and household team shape each day around you.

Our sprawling three-acre private estate beautifully encapsulates the essence of Sri Lanka, featuring a gentle, meandering stream, palm-fringed verandas, and a symphony of birdsong. It’s a haven for wildlife, with monkeys, peacocks, and a friendly resident iguana. Beyond our emerald lawns lies a pristine coral beach, providing a playground of serenity.

The crown jewel of this private sanctuary is a fifteen-metre infinity swimming pool, accessible via a serene Lily pond path and flanked by two pavilions. Here, guests can unwind and immerse themselves in a lush jungle oasis. To complete your day, head to JH Beach House, where you can bask on the sandy shore or take a dip in the warm embrace of the Indian Ocean. Consider concluding your day with a breathtaking sunset and a candlelit dinner on its private veranda under a star-studded sky.

I have stayed here twice and it really is a beautiful place. There are plenty of areas to relax and we spent many happy hours in and around the pool and the rooms are spotless and well furnished with plenty of storage space. The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. JH makes a great base for a holiday in this beautiful country.

And the team that run the beach mansion deserve an extra special mention - they are not only there to provide you with phenomenal food and room service but so much more – their local knowledge and willingness to help always went the extra mile. I recently had the privilege of staying at JH in Gaulle, Sri Lanka. What an amazing place and the most friendly and helpful staff you could ever wish for. On arrival I was impressed by the whole place, the pictures just don't do it justice. My room was lovely and the bed was supper comfortable. The chef made some amazing food and even made me a cake when he found out I was celebrating. The pool area was one of my favorite places to hang out and watch the monkeys that lives in the beautiful gardens along with lots of other wildlife. I will defiantly be going back here, it's a real hidden paradise.
